CILYC

Palawan · PRIMARY Homeport

El Nido &
Coron

Karst islands, glass-still lagoons, and light that turns gold before anywhere else in the archipelago. Reached by private sail — never by queue.

| ARRIVAL

Bacuit Bay doesn't look real from the water.

Limestone rises straight out of the sea in shapes that shouldn't hold together, and the light does something here it doesn't do anywhere else in the archipelago — it goes gold early, and stays that way.

You arrive by private sail into a lagoon most people only see from a photograph, and for a moment the boat feels almost incidental to the scenery it delivered you into.

| Why We Sail Here

El Nido and Coron reward exactly one kind of traveler: the one willing to arrive slowly.

The lagoons, the hidden coves, the drop-offs between islands — none of it opens up to a fixed ferry schedule or a shared banca queue. A private trimaran means we choose the hour, the tide, and the light. We arrive at Big Lagoon before the day-trip fleets, and we leave before they've finished arriving.

Before 8am

| When we typically enter Big Lagoon — alone

Bird's eye view of El Nido's Big Lagoon and its dramatic limestone enclosure, Palawan — a CILYC

Big Lagoon & Secret Lagoon

Entered by kayak through openings barely wide enough for two paddles — the water inside changes colour the moment you pass through.

Aerial view of Kayangan Lake, Coron, Palawan — one of the Philippines' clearest lakes on a CILYC sailing expedition

Kayangan Lake

Cool and startlingly clear, tucked above Coron's coastline — a freshwater pause between two very different kinds of blue.

Discoveries, not a checklist.

A tight edit of what earns the sail — the places our crew return to, and the ones we quietly keep to ourselves until you're aboard.

What You'll Find

Cobra Island aerial view, Palawan — known for vibrant reef systems explored on a CILYC private sailing expedition

Cobra Island & the Twin Lagoons

The karst walls close in close enough to touch, the passage between them narrow enough to feel like a discovery rather than a stop.

Empty white sandbar at ground level in El Nido, Palawan — a secluded stop on a CILYC private sailing expedition

Sandbars, on the tide's schedule

They surface and vanish through the day, claimed for an hour at a time and shared with no one but your own party.
