The Founder's Story

CILYC was founded by a pilot, explorer, and ocean enthusiast from Hawaii whose life has been shaped by aviation, the sea, and a deep appreciation for adventure and storytelling.
Inspired by the idea of building something that would endure beyond a lifetime, he envisioned more than a yacht — he envisioned a legacy. One that carries the spirit of Hawaiian values, embraces Filipino culture, and reflects a deep respect for the ocean and the people connected to it.
IKAIKA LEILANI — "Strong and Heavenly Garland" — bridges his Hawaiian roots with the Philippine waters she calls home. As he prepares for retirement, his hope is to one day pass CILYC to his son and daughter — continuing a tradition of exploration and purpose for generations to come.
